Formulas and legal notice
- Estimated compressor kW = compressors × HP × 1.10 × 0.746 ÷ 0.70.
- Annual kWh = estimated compressor kW × run hours/day × 20 days/month × 12 months/year.
- Estimated annual kWh savings = annual kWh × 32%. Actual utility-approved kWh savings may differ.
- Prescriptive rebate estimate = total HP × utility $/HP, when a $/HP VFD incentive is available. If no fixed formula is loaded, the app displays “Custom review required” instead of $0.
- Custom rebate estimate = estimated annual kWh savings × utility custom $/kWh, when a custom rate is available. If the utility only lists a custom evaluation path, the amount must be calculated by the utility or implementer.
- kW-based rebate estimate = estimated compressor kW reduction × utility $/kW, where the program pays by demand reduction.
- Project-cost cap = if a program limits incentives to a percentage of eligible installed cost, the app caps the displayed rebate estimate at that percentage. The app does not determine final eligible cost; the utility or program administrator does.
This rebate finder is for preliminary sales planning only. It is not a rebate approval, utility commitment, engineering study, tax or legal advice, or guarantee of payment. Incentive amounts, eligibility rules, pre-approval requirements, qualified-equipment rules, trade-ally requirements, program budgets, and application deadlines can change without notice. Final incentive approval is determined only by the utility, program administrator, or authorized implementer after review of the customer site, baseline equipment, proposed scope, invoices, savings calculations, and any required measurement and verification. Do not order equipment, begin installation, or promise a customer a rebate until the applicable program confirms eligibility and pre-approval in writing.
